This one-of-a-kind handmade Moroccan woolen Rug took its name from the Beni Ourain region, where it was first made. This region has its own rug-weaving technique, which consists of separating the wool weft with knots tied around the warp, which is a white, thin cotton string. This technique of hand-knotted pile gives the Beni Ourain rug its shaggy texture and soft touch.
