This winking eye basket bag started out as a plain coil of natural straw. Moroccan artisans then embroidered two oversized eyes across the front, framing each one with long, dramatic lashes.
One eye sits in solid black thread, round and watchful. The other gets a playful twist: artisans cover it in shimmering pink sequins, turning it into a sly, half-closed wink. Long black lash lines radiate out from both eyes, hand-stitched one strand at a time. Then, cognac leather handles finish the design, and a hand-stitched leather heart anchors each one at the base.
This winking eye basket works just as well for a beach day as it does for running errands around town.
